Information we collect and use

We collect information you provide, including contributed game data and communications, and technical and usage information such as IP addresses, device and installation identifiers, software versions and interactions. Cookies and local storage support preferences and analytics.

We use this information to operate and improve Hyjal, maintain its game database, respond to requests and prevent misuse. Reviewed game information may be published.

Service providers

We use Cloudflare for hosting and security and Google for analytics and fonts. These providers process information to deliver their services and may process it outside your country.

Google Analytics uses cookies and similar identifiers to collect usage information. See how Google uses information from sites and apps. Providers may collect information about activity over time and across services under their own privacy policies.

Retention and security

We retain information as needed to operate Hyjal, verify contributed game data, prevent misuse and meet legal obligations. Published game information and supporting records may be retained while they remain useful to the database. Analytics retention depends on our service settings and provider policies.

We use encrypted connections and access controls to protect private information.

Your choices and rights

You can manage cookies and site data in your browser, use Google’s Analytics opt-out, and disable “Share usage statistics” in the desktop app. Quit the app and disable the addon to stop further collection. The website does not currently respond to Do Not Track signals.

Depending on applicable law, you may request access, correction, deletion or a copy of your personal information, object to or restrict processing, withdraw consent where processing relies on it, or complain to a privacy regulator. Contact us to make a request; we may need information to verify it and locate your records.

We post policy changes here and update the date above. Where required, we provide additional notice of material changes.
